Khan El-Khalily, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Cairo, with a huge touristic attraction, a large number of tourists and Egyptian seek to visit it according to its majesty as its 600 years old.
Its architecture is from the Mamluks era, it was called after the name of Mamluk prince Jaharkaz Al-Khalily.
Sultan Qunsuwa Al-Ghouri rebuilt it ad added to it other buildings.
It was among 38 other markets during the Mamluk era.
It contains one of the most ancient and famous cafes which was called Al-Fishawy and the the great novalist Naguib Mahfouz used to be a regular visitor.
The souvenirs and wooden, copper manufactures can be sold in it, beside the most important and ancient libraries.
