Day 1

Cairo (no meal)

The representative of our agency welcome you upon arrival at Cairo airport, after customs control with a sign bearing your name and that of the agency. Then you will be transferred by private air-conditioned vehicle with driver at your hotel. Check into your room. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

Cairo(B)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, our English speaking guide and private vehicle with driver will pick you up at your hotel. On the west bank of the Nile opposite the Cairo, visit the Giza plateau on which stand the three pyramids erected by Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus, and guarded by the mysterious Sphinx, which is the mythical statue with a lion’s body and a human head. The three pyramids and the Sphinx are considered the oldest of the seven wonders of the ancient world. (Optional camel ride or horse on the Giza Plateau). Visit the vast necropolis of Saqqara, used as a cemetery for thousands of years, and still hides many secrets in the desert sand. The Pyramid at Saqqara degree is one of the oldest stone structures in the world. It was built during the third dynasty (about 2630 BC) for King Djoser and its construction was supervised by his vizier Imhotep. (Optional: In the evening, attend the Sound and Light at the Pyramids in French). Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

Cairo(B)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, our English speaking guide and private vehicle with driver will pick you up at your hotel. Visit the Citadel of Salah El Din, with its enclosure the mosque of Mohamed Ali. The citadel was built on the hills in 1183 AD Moqattam overlooking the whole city, it was a point of defense against the Crusaders. Salah El Din appointed as the governor of Egypt after the death of the Sultan of Damascus, Noor al-Din. Then visit the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, founded in 1857 by French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette, which houses more than 250,000 pieces including the fabulous treasures of Tutankhamen. (Optional: Dinner cruise on the Nile with Oriental show). Overnight at hotel.

Day 4

Cairo / Alexandria / Cairo (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, our English speaking guide and private vehicle with driver will pick you up at your hotel. Road to Alexandria. Visit the fortress Qayet bay which was built on the site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria. Then visit the Pompey’s Pillar which was built in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the fourth century. Visit the Roman amphitheater, released in 1963, witnessed many unique venues built in Alexandria. Then visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shuqqaffa (first and second century. AD. AD) and its hypogean on several levels, which are among the most important Roman tombs in Egypt. And finally visit the famous Alexandria Library building futuristic architecture. Back in Cairo after the visits. In the evening, transfer by private vehicle with driver in Cairo Station to take the sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on the train.

Day 5

Aswan / Abu Simbel(B, L, D)

Breakfast in the train. Morning arrival in Aswan, welcome by the representative of Egypt and Wonderful You will be accompanied by private car with driver to Abu Simbel (in convoy compulsory 11:00 – ≈ 3h drive). Arrival in Abu Simbel, home then you will be transferred by private car to your air conditioned chauffeur boat cruise on Lake Nasser. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the impressive Temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari. These extraordinary works, carved into the cliff, were dismantled and transported to their present site in 1960 because they were threatened by the rising flood waters of Lake Nasser. They were rebuilt identically on a hill a little artificial to the interior. Welcome cocktail. (Optional: Sound and Light in French at Abu Simbel.) Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 6

KasrIbrim / Amada / Wadi El Seboua(B, L, D)

Breakfast on board. Head of navigation. View KasrIbrim only vestige not moved, of which only the ruins of an ancient fortress marked the footprint of the Egyptians, Romans, Copts. Lunch on board and sail to Wadi El Seboua. Visit the temple of Amada, small well-preserved temple of the eighteenth dynasty. Beautiful representations of the gods Horus and Thoth and the campaign against the Ethiopians Merneptah. Continue to the temple of Deir and the Tomb of Peinout. Navigate to Wadi El Seboua. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 7

Wadi El Seboua / Aswan (B, L, D)

Breakfast on board. Visit the temples of Wadi El Seboua dedicated to Amun-Ra, dedicated to Thoth of Dakka and the Greco-Roman temple of Meharakka. Lunch on board and sail to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 8

Aswan(B, L, D)

Breakfast on board. Release of the cabin. Visit the Kalabsha temple, dedicated to Mandulis the Nubian Horus. Located near the High Dam, it is the second most important sanctuary after the temples of Abu Simbel. Then you will be transferred by private air-conditioned vehicle with driver to your cruise on the Nile for 3 nights. Installation in your cabin. Lunch on board. (Optional: Then relaxing stroll on the Nile by felucca around Elephantine Island). In the afternoon, our English speaking guide and private vehicle with driver will pick you up and Philae Temple, dedicated to the worship of the goddess Isis, located on the island of Agilika, was built at the time by Greco-Roman The Ptolemaic dynasty, the temple was built during a period of 300 years. Visit the High Dam at Aswan was built from 1960 to 1971, measuring 780m long, to protect Egypt against the annual flooding of the Nile and Lake Nasser created. The water power generates electricity for most of Egypt. Then visit the Unfinished Obelisk, located in a granite quarry Rose that was used in the construction of temples. (Optional: Sound and Light at Philae). Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 9

Kom Ombo / Edfu(B, L, D)

Breakfast on board. Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, whose characteristic is to be dedicated to two divinities: Sobek (with head of crocodile) and Horus (falcon-headed). Sail to Edfu. Lunch on board. Departure by coach to visit the Temple of Edfu, the Holy City of Horus and the temple built in his honor. This temple with extravagant dimensions is preserved best of all Egypt. Resumption of navigation to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 10

Luxor(B, L, D)

Breakfast on board. Lunch on board. Visit the East Bank of Luxor with a visit of the Temple of Karnak, the largest temple in the world, this complex has several temples. It is the oldest religious site in the world. Then visit the Temple of Luxor is among the most beautiful temples of Egypt. The oldest parts date back to the currently visible Amenhotep III and Ramses II. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 11

Luxor(B)

Breakfast on board. Landing. Our English speaking guide and private vehicle with driver will pick you up and towards the west bank of Luxor. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, a famous and very prominent for its ancient heritage where you can visit 3 tombs. Then continuation towards the two imposing Colossi of Memnon, the last remains of the gigantic funerary temple of Amenhotep III which no longer exists today. And finally, visit the Temple of Deir El-Bahari was built for Hatshepsut (18th Dynasty) as a funerary temple and a shrine to the god Amon-Ra but also to the gods Anubis and Hathor. This temple is unique and differs from other temples because it is partly dug into the rock of the Theban hills on which it leans. Settle into your hotel. Free afternoon. (Optional: In the evening, attend the Sound and Light show at Karnack in French). Overnight at hotel.

Day 12

Luxor / Kharga Oasis(B, L, D)

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning our journey takes us to the ‘Valley of the Pyramids’ and Kharga oasis. Lunch. With an important cultural-historical past, we have the opportunity to see the Temple of Hibis, Nadura Temple and Museum of Kharga. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kharga.

Day 13

Dakhla Oasis(B, L, D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit the museum and continued home to the most beautiful oasis in the Western Desert, Dakhla Oasis. Lunch. Here we visit El Qasr and Deir El Hajar, the ‘Monastery of Stone’, a temple of the time of the Roman emperors later occupied by Christian monks. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Dakhla.

Day 14

Farafra Oasis / White Desert(B, L, D)

Breakfast. On the way to the Farafra oasis, we discover the Black Desert (from the black basalt rock) and the Crystal Mountain. Lunch. In our exploration of the White Desert we admire innumerable limestone formations formed by wind. Dinner and overnight in tents in the desert.

Day 15

Bahariya Oasis(B, L, D)

After breakfast, we head to the desert oasis of Bahariya, known in recent years, especially as the Valley of the Golden Mummies. Many water sources are the oasis a green island in a sea of sand. Lunch. We thus discover the hot springs, palm alleys and of course the famous Golden Mommies exposure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bahariya.

Day 16

Oasis Bahariya / Cairo(B)

After breakfast, drive to Cairo by private vehicle air-conditioned. Arrived in Cairo, Installation in your room. Overnight at hotel.

Day 17

Cairo / Dahab (Red Sea – Sinai)(B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Road in a private vehicle with driver towards Dahab, a small seaside town on the edge of the Red Sea in the Sinai (about 6 hours drive). Settle into your hotel. Free day to enjoy the beach and relax. Overnight at hotel.
