Cairo – Arrived “Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday “

Cairo – Giza & Saqqara
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, our English speaking guide and private vehicle with driver will pick you up at your hotel. On the west bank of the Nile facing Cairo, visit the high plateau of Giza where stand the three pyramids erected by Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos, and guarded by the mysterious Sphinx, which is the mythical statue with a lion’s body and a human head. The three pyramids and the Sphinx are considered the oldest of the seven wonders of the ancient world. (Optional: Camel ride or horseback ride on the Giza Plateau). Then, visit the huge necropolis of Saqqara, used as a cemetery for thousands of years, and which still hides many secrets under the sand of the desert. The Saqqara Pyramid is one of the oldest stone structures in the world. It was built during the third dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser, and its construction was supervised by his vizier Imhotep. In the evening, transfer to Giza train station to take the sleeper train to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on the train.
Luxor – Cruise on the Nile “Saturday, Monday, Thursday”
Breakfast served in your cabin. In the morning, arrived at the station of Luxor, welcome by our team then you will be transferred in a private vehicle air-conditioned with driver until your cruise ship on the Nile for 4 nights. Check in your cabin. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, our English-speaking guide and private vehicle with driver will pick you up and visit the East Bank of Luxor with the visit of the Temple of Karnak, the largest temple and the oldest religious site in the World, this complex includes several temples. It was built and developed for over 2000 years by successive pharaohs. The most famous part of the temple of Amon is its hypostyle hall composed of 134 columns, most of which have kept their decor. Then visit the Luxor Temple which is among the most beautiful temples of Egypt. The oldest parts currently visible go back to Amenhotep III and Ramses II. Return to the boat after the visits. At 17h, Tea / coffee break served on board. (Optional: sound and light show in Karnak) Dinner and overnight on board.
Luxor / Esna – Nile Cruise
Breakfast on board. (Optional: Early morning, hot air balloon flight over the West Bank of Luxor). Our English speaking guide and private vehicle with driver will pick you up and head west bank of Luxor. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the royal cemetery of 62 Pharaohs, a famous site and very eminent for its ancient heritage where you can visit 3 tombs. Then continue to the two impressive Colossi of Memnon, the last vestiges of the gigantic funerary temple of Amenhotep III, which no longer exists today. And finally, visit the Temple of Deir El-Bahari, was built for Hatshepsut (18th Dynasty) to serve as a funerary temple and a shrine to the god Amon-Ra but also to the gods Anubis and Hathor. This temple is unique and differs from other temples because it is partly dug in the rock of the Theban mountain to which it leans. Start of navigation towards Esna. Lunch on board. Passage of the Esna Lock and continue navigation towards Edfu. You will be free at your convenience to rest or enjoy the pool on the upper deck. At 17h, Tea / coffee break served on board. Dinner and overnight on board.
Edfu / Kom Ombo – Cruise on the Nile
Breakfast on board. Departure in a carriage for Departure in a carriage to visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the holy city of Horus and the temple built in his honor. This temple with extravagant dimensions is the best preserved of all Egypt. Navigation to Kom Ombo. Lunch on board. Visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroëris at Kom Ombo, whose particularity is to be dedicated to two deities: Sobek god with crocodile head and Haroëris (Horus) god with falcon head. At 17h, Tea / coffee break served on board. Dinner and overnight on board.
Aswan – Cruise on the Nile
Breakfast on board. Free morning to rest. (Optional: Relaxing felucca ride on the Nile around Elephantine Island). Lunch on board. Afternoon, visit the temple of Philae, dedicated to the worship of the goddess Isis, located on the island of Agilika, was built in the Greco-Roman era by the Ptolemaic dynasty, the temple was built during a period 300 years old. Visit of the High Dam Aswan was built from 1960 to 1971, measuring 780m long, to protect Egypt against the annual flooding of the Nile and thus created Lake Nasser. The power of water generates electricity for most of Egypt. Then visit the unfinished obelisk; located in a pink granite quarry that was used in the construction of temples. (Optional: sound and light show in Philae). Dinner and overnight on board.
Aswan – End Cruise / Abu Simbel / Aswan
Breakfast on board and release of the cabin. You will then be accompanied by private vehicle with driver to Abu Simbel (≈4h trip). Arrival at Abu Simbel, visit the impressive temples of Ramses II and his wife, Nefertari. These extraordinary structures, cut on the cliff, were dismantled and transported to their current site in 1960 because they were threatened with flooding by the rising waters of Lake Nasser. They were rebuilt identically on a dummy hill a little further inland. After the visits, return to Aswan (≈4h trip). In the evening, transfer to Aswan station to take the sleeper train to Giza. Dinner served in your cabin and overnight on the train.
Breakfast on the train. In the morning, arrived at the station of Giza, welcome then visit of the Citadel of Salah El Din, with in its enclosure the mosque of Mohamed Ali. The citadel was built on the Moqattam hills in 1183 AD overlooking the entire city, it was a defense point against the attacks of the Crusaders. Salah El Din appointed to be governor of Egypt after the death of the sultan of Damascus, Noor-el-Din. Then visit the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, founded in 1857 by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette, which houses more than 250,000 pieces including the fabulous treasure of Tutankhamun discovered in 1920 by Howard Carter. The museum houses the largest and richest collection of pharaonic antiquities in the world over a period of five thousand years. And finally you will go to Souk Khan el Khalili, one of the most famous and oldest markets in the Middle East. Return to your hotel at the end of your visit. (Optional: In the evening, attend the Sound and lights show at the Pyramids). Overight at the hotel.
Cairo – Departure
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer by private vehicle with driver to Cairo International Airport for your departure.
