Sharm El Sheikh / Super Safari Coloured Canyon and St. Catherine Monastery / Sharm El Sheikh
You will be collected from your hotel at approximately 7am, driven for 3 hours, by Land Cruiser (4×4) and taken to the site of St. Catherine’s Monastery, which is still active today. It is situated at the foot of mount Sinai and is home to the same order of monks who constructed it in the 4th Century. St. Catherine’s Monastery has been built between 527 and 565 A.D. The monastery is believed to have been built around the site of Moses’ Burning Bush. During your visit you will visit the chapel of a Greek Orthodox church to see famous icons and the Mosaic of Transfiguration.
